Dr. Katherina Calvillo, MD
Dr. Katherina Zabicki Calvillo is a fellowship-trained and board-certified breast cancer surgeon in Boston. She completed her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the University of Michigan and acquired her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in general surgery from Northwestern Memorial Hospital, followed by a breast surgery fellowship from Harvard Medical School, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She was a breast cancer surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School for nearly 20 years prior to founding New England Breast and Wellness. Her emphasis includes hidden scar surgery for benign and malignant breast disease, breast conservation surgery (lumpectomy) using oncoplastic (reconstructive) techniques, nipple-sparing mastectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. Dr. Calvillo has been listed in Exceptional Women in Medicine, Boston Magazine’s Top Doctor and Castle Connolly’s/US News and World Report Top Doctor since 2010.
